~ Overwhelmed ~

I just needed a quick moment!! AAAHHHHH!!!!
Lauren has a TON of homework EVERY night! It is so frustrating! How did Terral and I graduate from high school? College? This 4th grade math is kicking my tail! Lauren, poor thing, has been getting to bed late every night because there is so much homework. How do I teach her to think on her own? Is that a crazy question? I try to offer suggestions and end up telling her what to do. How do I teach her study skills? I am so NOT a teacher!!

I feel like I am chasing my own tail. Does anyone else feel this way? I can't catch up on anything. How is it going to be when I have 3 with homework and activities. I do not know how I am going to do it!! I know I can. There are so many of you that do!! Thanks for being my encouragement. It is encouraging watching those of you that do it all!! Thanks to all!!

~ Bulldog Football ~

What a game!! For those of you Greenwood Bulldgog fans- if you were unable to go to the game Friday night- what a shame!! It was awesome!! I LOVE football games that keep me on the edge of my seat. I was so proud of those Bulldogs! They really pulled it off well against Shiloh Christian!!

I am so glad football season is here. Friday night, the whole Meeker crew went: Grandma and Grandpa, Rob and Linds and kids, Ralph and Jen and kids, and the 5 of us. Hudson just LOVES football!! He loves to go down on the field after the game. This week, he got a picture with Spencer Harris! Man, did he feel special! Earlier that day, he attended the pep rally at the high school with Harper and Mrs. Donna. Both children were well equipped with their "Spencer" pins. Hudson sometimes wears it around the house! It is too cute!

Way to go Dogs!! Can't wait to see what you do this week!!!

~ Date Night ~

At last a date night! Terral and I were finally able to have a date night. We have not had time without the kids since Jasper was born. We really were not sure what to do. We ate dinner at Chili's, not very romantic, but the Hogs were playing and we wanted to watch it. After dinner was over we did not know what to do. We debating about a few things and could not decide, so we went home and enjoyed some silence. It was so weird!! No kids, quiet and peaceful. It was nice, but we did miss them and we were only away from them for a couple of hours. Isn't it strange how we do that? Want some time with our spouse and then when we finally get it and we talk about the kids or just miss them so bad!!! I did not take any pictures and I was disappointed about that, but thats ok.

~ Posting Problems ~

For some reason I can't do a post with writing and pictures! It is very aggravating. Anyone have any tips?

~ Labor Day Pictures ~

~ Labor Day Weekend ~

What a great Labor Day weekend we had! It started off with dinner with some good friends, Dave and Rebekah Moore at the Catfish Hole in Alma. It was good, but I prefer The Barn in Rock Island. The fried potatoes there are amazing. Fully loaded with salt and fat!! MMM!!! :)
Anyway, we then headed to NWA!! Great fun!! I love to see my family!! It just does not happen enough. We stayed with my Aunt Yvonne, whom I love dearly! She lives out at Horseshoe Bend and there are deer everywhere. I was able to get some pictures of them. It is crazy how close they let me get!
Terral and my cousin Tim sat and played music together. Terral loves to just hang out and play. I think it is so amazing how Terral can just hear a song one time and start playing!! Lauren and Hudson had a great time playing with their cousins, Jayde, Gavin, and Ashlynn.
We went and saw my sister working at the snow cone stand, The Frozen Tung. What a cool name!! I thought it was very fitting! Right by it was this store called The Purple Armadillo. Awesome! I loved it. It was a home decor store. I did not get a picture of it, but I wish I would have. Terral was nice enough to sit in the car with the kids and let me roam for a bit. They were all eating their snow cones. (Lauren had a chocolate one! Yuck! Hudson had grape and raspberry.) Of course I did not have enough time in the store, but I was grateful I got to go in.
My brother took the time to come and see us!! Amazing. He is 20 and this was his first time to see Jasper. I guess a 20 year old has better things to do than see their brand new nephew!!
Overall it was a great time. I am so glad we were able to go and chill out with the family!

~ Harper's Birthday con't ~

Harper's party was a lot of fun! Everyone was to wear something to represent their favorite football team. My kids were wearing razorback and Greenwood bulldog clothes. There were burgers and hot dogs and the best part was the pinata. The kids really liked it. All the children had a turn on hitting it. Lauren was the one who busted it open. In the picture from the last post you see Grandpa in there getting some candy! ( I thought it was for the kids!) HA! I love the picture of Hudson and Harper!! They are such a hoot together. (Hoot- typical Southern term? not sure?)

Happy Birthday Harper!!
We love you!!
