~ 1st Day At Sea ~

Our first day at sea was great. I was not sure if the kids would get to swim cause you never know if it will be too breezy until you are really out if the middle of the gulf where its really warm. The weather was perfect! I got to lay out with the girls and the kids hit the waterslides.

The kids with Grandma and Grandpa.
 Isn't the water beautiful?!
The waterslides were fun! We went on them too!
 Aaron, Jacque, and Myles
 Lunch time!
I think this is the sweetest picture of Grandma Penny and Paul.
 Lauren and Aunt Karla
 Uncle Lonnie and Terral
The basketball boys. They got in on a game. We cheered them on.
This was our first formal night. I really hate Jasper is missing out of this picture. There were a few nights he went to Camp Carnival for dinner because he would fall asleep while I was getting ready. We had a late dinner.
 Great picture of Terral's parents!
LOVE this picture of Lauren and Debbie!
Love this one too!! I think this one is a framer!
We went to a family comedy show before dinner.
 Lauren and I.
Lauren, Hudson, and the Captain. Lauren asked the Captain who was driving the boat since he was there with us.
What do Meekers do best...? dance!!!
Another great picture of Penny and Paul.
 Alex and I.
 Lonnie and Rhonda
The three sisters: Brenda, Debbie, and Rhonda
Jasper and I. He woke up but still looks sleepy!
Myles was worn out!!!

This was such a fun day. I love the relaxation of the day and the dinners are always sooooo good!!
I can't remember what we did after dinner on this night but the kiddos were tuckered out!

~ Boarding the Ship ~

Carnival Magic
April 21st, 2013
Rhonda and Lonnie were so thrilled!! This was their first cruise so it was so fun watching their excitement all week long.

Not everyone is in the group photo, but it captures the moment without them!
Jasper wanted me to take his picture...nice pose!!!

Lauren and Lindsey patiently waiting to board the ship.
We called the hogs while walking on! It was so fun!  We had our shirts made and the back of it said,
"Going Hawgwild on the Carnival Magic".

Yet, another wonderful photo with my Jman!!!

 Finally on board!!

 Sweet Baby Myles!

The first thing we did was eat lunch! Why not?! We were on vacation!

Lauren and her cousin Gracey

Lauren and her cousin Harper hitting the ice cream cones. I think Lauren counted and her total number of ice cream cones for the week were...45!!!
After lunch it was time to chill out!
That is exactly what Uncle Lonnie and Hudson did....chilled out!

~ Sail Away ~

The Meekers were at it again.......CRUISING that is!!!

Let me tell you all - we had a BLAST!!!
This was mine and Terral's 5th cruise.
We have had several people ask if we were afraid to go since Carnival has had some trouble with a few boats recently, but we were not at all! We did not hesitate one bit boarding that ship! We had a group of 30; some who went last time and some who had never been at all! It is so fun going with people who have never been because they have NO idea what to expect.

Our party of 30 boarded the Carnival Magic on Sunday, April 21st in Galveston, TX. It was a fun little trip down to the port; we traveled with Aunt Rhonda, Uncle Lonnie, Aaron, Jacque, and Myles.

It was so nice having a bigger vehicle to travel in! The kids had plenty of leg room and they did not fight and aggravate each other. Having the DVD player was wonderful to have as well. Plenty of Duck Dynasty was played there and back!

When we arrived in Galveston we checked into our hotel, watched the Disney Magic set sail, walked on the beach a little, ate dinner, and took a little journey through Wal-Mart. (we just can't get enough of that place) :)

These are just a couple of shots I took of the Galveston Pier. I thought it looked so neat all lit up!
This is just the beginning of the Meeker family vacation.
More to come of the Carnival Magic Meeker style!!!

~ Out With the Old ~

Remember this beauty??
Well....she is no longer mine!
Can you believe it? We FINALLY did it...bought a new vehicle!
Now, I am not gonna let the cat out of the bag...if you want to see the new one, you will have to be watching for me on the road. ;)
Believe me, it was hard to part with my sweet little Honda. I bought her brand new and both boys came home from the hospital in it, but it is in wonderful hands. A VERY sweet friend bought it so I will be seeing it on the road.
 Until next time.......

~ Make It Count ~

A sweet friend asked if I would take a quick peak at a blog this evening via text.
So, I wandered over to the computer and decided I had the time to take a gander.
An hour and a half later, I am still here....sitting in front of the computer.
Really I can not believe it has been 8 whole months since my last post!
So, I thought it would be appropriate to post one of my favorite pictures from Christmas...my Christmas tree.
It was such a wonderful time, even though J had bronchitis, the snow was beautiful and being home with the kids was terrific.
I am so very thankful for my family and another year to try and make a difference in this crazy world. I find myself fighting daily not to fall into ALL the MANY traps it has to offer.
In February, I am wishing everyone a Happy 2013....and as Craig Cannon would say
"Make it count"

~Baseball~

I can not believe our season is almost over. It went by so fast and was a blast!! This year showed a ton of improvement from the boys!! They are all such sweet friends and I feel blessed Hudson had so many!
Hudson played first base this year. It was a joy to watch him and I have realized how much fun boys really are!

~Preschool Graduation~

The time finally came...and went. It was a day I had been dreading, but I survived it. I feel so blessed for the wonderful times Hudson had at Preschool Extraordinaire and with Mrs. Dana. She was absolutely wonderful and I am forever grateful to her for making Hudson's preparation for kindergarten an awesome experience. Hudson made many friends who I hope will last a lifetime.

So...good bye preschool...
Hello...KINDERGARTEN!!!! sniff,sniff
