~ Happy Friday ~

Sweet store

Playing in the store. They had fun!!

Really love this arrangement! Love the feathers!

Today was a great day.

Running around with a wonderful friend, who offered her "motherly" advice to me for the fit thrower in my family. I will take any advice I can get. I really need the book, "The Strong Willed Child". Any one have it? :)

Our day started at the G Kids sale. It was not bad. We went for the "re-load" of toys. Not many people there, mainly workers, who seemed to be doing nothing but standing around. They were not very helpful at all!! Very disappointing.
(TC- I am not referring to you in any way. You were with someone when we needed help!)

Then we headed to the great city of Van Buren. Down town is so sweet with their sweet antique shops, photography studios, and apparel shops. I really enjoyed Olee O's and the kids had a great time playing in there. The owner was so nice and she made the shopping experience pleasant, allowing the boys to play with her daughter. Yesterdaze antiques was a neat little place. They had a great window display.

A few purchases were made. Did not spend a lot of money, which is good. Mr. Meeker will think so too!!

It was a fun day. A day with a great friend. Good company. Good talk.

Much love,
Shaina

~ Night With Friends ~

Saturday evening I had the opportunity to have dinner and see a movie with these sweet ladies! We had such a great time and many good laughs and cries!! I think it is so important for us to be able to get together with friends and other mothers just to have some "kid free" conversation. Don't get me wrong, I love to talk to my kids, but you know what I mean! :)

We started at Olive Garden, then to the movies to see The Last Song, then to Marble Slab.
The movie was excellent!! It was such a tear jerker!! I could not help but think of the Burton family while I was watching it. It is definitely a must see. I really would like to read the book. We will see if that happens! HA!

For those of you who know me, know I LOVE ice cream!! You just can't go wrong with Marble Slab. I loaded up with some sweet cream with cookie dough and oreos. It was delicious!! Its making me want some right now!

Overall it was a fun night. Thanks to Mr. Meeker who watched the children! I love these ladies. Each of them are precious and it was great hanging with you all!

~ Easter Fun ~

Jasper with his basket of goodies from the wonderful, Mrs. Donna!
I just love that smile!

Lauren and Hudson dying their eggs. What fun!
Hudson Easter morning with his basket.

Lauren with her basket.

T and J.
This picture is funny! Hud is saying "The sun is in my eyes!" Lauren's hand expression, "Why are you making us take a picture?" Jasper closed his eyes all together, and Dad is just trying to be a good sport. Needless to say, we did not get a family Easter picture.

I wanted to get a picture of T and I with baby J since it was his first Easter. I think he had a fun day overall!

The boys!

I like this picture! J was hopping around with that egg in his hand. Trying to get him to sit still was almost impossible!!

It looks like Lauren has him trapped.

Hunting those eggs!

J's first egg hunt.
All the cousins!! The family has grown!!

Bear and J!

Can't forget the Easter pinata!

The pinata has been broken!! Candy!!!!

It was a fun day. Of course we started with church. The service was great. I am glad the children's choir was a part. They did a great job. After church, we headed to T's parents for lunch complete with fried deer tenderloin ( I think), grilled chicken, green beans with bacon, corn on the cob, homemade french fries, deviled eggs, potato casserole, and homemade carrot cake with cream cheese icing. It was so yummy!! I ate way too much!! It is such a joy to watch the children together. They have such sweet personalities and they love each other so much. I am thankful we all get together and have family time. It really is a blessing!! The weather was so great. I am glad it did not rain. It did start clouding up there for a little bit, but it was so nice.

Don't think I forgot the real meaning of Easter. We talked about it with the kids and it did not leave my mind. What Christ did for us was amazing!!!

Much love to all!!

Shaina
